Cheesy Onion Omelette Recipe:
Ingredients:- 4 eggs
– 1 small onion, thinly sliced
– 1/2 cup grated cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your preferred type)- 2 tablespoons butter or cooking oil
– Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:1. Crack the eggs into a bowl and whisk them until well beaten. Season with salt and pepper according to your taste
2. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add the butter or cooking oil. Allow it to melt and coat the bottom of the skillet
3. Add the sliced onions to the skillet and sauté them until they become translucent and slightly caramelized, stirring occasionally. This should take about 5-7 minutes
4. Once the onions are cooked, spread them evenly across the skillet and pour the beaten eggs over them
5. Allow the eggs to cook undisturbed for a minute or two until the edges start to set
6. Sprinkle the grated cheese evenly over the omelette
7. Using a spatula, carefully fold one side of the omelette over the other, creating a half-moon shape. Continue cooking for another minute or until the cheese has melted
8. Gently slide the omelette onto a plate and serve hot.
Optional: You can garnish the omelette with some fresh herbs like parsley or chives for added flavor and presentation.
